100701-N-6720T-006 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 1, 2010) – Damage Controlman 1st Class Kenneth Amaechi from Houston, demonstrates for junior Sailors proper chemical, biological and radiological (CBR) suit removal procedures upon entering a decontamination station during a General Quarters drill aboard USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73). CBR suits are designed to protect Sailors from nerve, blood and blister agents during a chemical, biological and radiological attack on the ship. GEORGE WASHINGTON, the Navy’s only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, is currently underway helping to ensure security and stability in the western Pacific Ocean.
